Microneedling

Microneedling is a safe, effective and minimally invasive aesthetic treatment, which is used for a wide range of indications such as scarring, hair loss, skin rejuvenation, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and many more. The treatment involves superficial and controlled puncturing of the skin with miniature fine needles, with an automatic medical microneedling device, containing sterile, single-use needle cartridges. Our CE certified device is far more advanced than dermaroller-type needling, and studies have shown automatic therapy systems to be more effective than ablative treatments like laser surfacing, microdermabrasion and chemical peels, and just as effective as non-ablative treatments like IPL, CO2 Laser and Fraxel in stimulating collagen and elastin production.

Microneedling is the skin treatment for a brighter, smoother and youthful complexion. It is safe for all skin types, and can be used all over the face and body. The needles cause micro-trauma in the skin, which forces the skin to stimulate a healing response which produces new collagen and elastin. Recent studies have shown that skin treated with just 4 microneedling sessions, one month apart, shows up to 400% increase in collagen and elastin deposition at 6 month post treatments.

Microneedling is a relatively quick procedure. Total time allocated for the appointment is approximately 1 hour (depending on the area to be treated), including consultation, and post-treatment advice.

Topical anaesthesia is not required, as the treatment is mildly uncomfortable at most, and well-tolerated by clients. There is no downtime, and clients can usually resume daily work the next day. Treatments are performed at 3-8 week intervals and multiple sessions are required in order to achieve desired effect on the skin, depending on indications. The final results are typically seen approximately 3-6 months after treatment
