EMS Sculpt

EMS Sculpt is a new, on-trend must-have body sculpting procedure that uses technology which simultaneously burns fat and builds muscle, without stepping foot inside a gym. This celebrity favourite treatment works by using HIFEM technology – High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic energy. This energy delivered to the chosen treatment area, stimulates thousands of ultra-powerful muscle contractions. In a single 30-minute treatment session, around 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions take place, which equates to 20,000 crunches or squats! The effects on the body are greater than those experienced through an intense workout. When exposed to said involuntary supramaximal contractions, the muscle tissue is forced to adapt by responding with a deep remodelling of its inner structures that results in muscle building and fat burning. Imagine the hours you would have to put in the gym in order to do 20,000 sit-ups, or squats! You simply lie still, relax, and let the electromagnetic signals do all the work for you. The procedure is often used as an alternative to liposuction as it is non-invasive and can be carried in such a short treatment, without any recovery time.
FAQs
How long does EMS Sculpt take?
Each session is a 30-minute treatment on one particular area of the body. If you are wanting to target multiple body parts, like the abdomen and the buttock area, then this will require two 30-minute sessions, which can be taken consecutively on the same day. To complete a course, the protocol recommends four treatments within a roughly 2-week period, spaced two or three days apart for optimal results.
What results will I see after EMS Sculpt?
Expect to see a toned, leaner area with notably less fat. Studies have shown a 15-20% muscle growth and fat reduction in the treated areas, after a properly completed course. You may feel tangible results immediately post-treatment, however, best and optimal results are seen around 3-4 weeks after your last session, and continue to improve several weeks following the treatments. Post completion of a treatment course, your body may feel and look like you have just completed a strict training programme with a PT, as well as eating well for six months to a year! The results are great! A lot of clients can exercise for years and simply not get the muscle definition they would like, and this is where EMS Sculpt comes in to provide them with said tone and definition.
How long do the results last?
This depends on how active your lifestyle is. Some clients undergo treatment and then simply maintain their newly toned bodies with regular exercise, but others choose to return for maintenance treatments when they feel like they need a boost. Those maintenance treatments are less frequent than the initial treatment course, this is subjective to how you would like to perceive your results – some may choose to come in for a single session once a year, others may wish to do so once a month. If you were to not progress with maintenance sessions, nor regular exercise post-course, then the muscle may naturally start to diminish, and the fat may slowly start to come back. Hence why maintenance sessions are highly recommended.
Does the treatment hurt?
No, it does not hurt. The treatment is actually quite relaxing. It delivers an intense workout, without the sweating or tiredness!
What areas can I have EMS Sculpting on?
The two main, and most popular areas are abdomen and buttocks, but you can also have the treatment on biceps & triceps, thighs (both front and back), as well as calves!
Are there any side effects or risks?
Other than temporary muscle soreness, similar to that post-gym, there are no known side effects of EMS Sculpt. The only thing to consider is that the treatment is contraindicated with those with any sorts of metal or electrical implants in their body. EMS Sculpt only creates muscle contractions – it does not have an effect on internal organs.
